Steve's Concours C14.
General Stuff About My "Connie"..
OLD PAGES.
*Purchase Date.
This Is The 2008 Kawsaki Versys which Was My Second Choice Of
This Dealership. A Much Smaller Motor And Price. What I Liked About
This Bike Is It Is A Tall Duo Sport Bike Which Would Be Good For My
6ft 2in Frame.

I Used To Ride This 2009 Kawasaki Concours 14, 1400cc 4 Cylinder Sport Touring
Bike That I Traded In My 2005 Honda VTX 1300S For.
Yes, I Left The Honda Family.
(I Sill Buy Proctor & Gamble Products.) I Bought
This Thru
Rusty At The Topeka Powersports Shop In South Topeka. I Got A Good
Trade In And I Am Much More Comfortable On This Than The Honda Cruiser. The
Suspension Is Much Better On The Bumpy Roads Such As 29th Between Topeka
& Fairlawn Which As Some Back Jarring Bumps. There's & Rough Spot Between
MacVicar And Randolph On 21st Street Which I Saw A Guy On A Sportbike Hit A
Pothole In The Road Which Tossed Him From His Seat Up Onto His--- Gas Tank---.
Since I Have A C.D.L. & Will Never Bother To Learn How Well Or Fast It. As A
Strait 4 Cylinder Engine, It Performs Much Better Than My Old V-twin.
My First
Refuel
Leaving The Shop With A Half Tank Of Gas And About 150 Miles On The
Odometer, I Put in 4.803 Gallons gas @ $1.849/Gal It Took $8.88 To Fill Up. This
Is The First Bike I Ever Handled With A Gas Overflow Feature Which Is A Waste
Of Gas If You Are Not Careful.
I Was Told The Bike Could Go 260 Miles Between Fill Ups. To Test The
Alleged 260 Mile Per Tank Claim, , I Carried A Gas Can In My Saddle Bags To
Get Home On And Topped Off The Tank.. @ About 130mi The Last Bar On The
Gas Gage Went Out And The Range Said 38Miles Of Gas Was Left In The Tank,
@ 145 Remaining Miles, The Pump Symbol And The "E" Began Flashing.. @185
Miles It Petered Out. I Was Able To Coast To The Safety A Parking Lot. Curiosity
Has Been Satisfied.
